Doctor Fox from the first consultation listened carefully my symptoms and over a period of time and assessments diagnosed the heart condition and solution - the fitting of a pacemaker.
Once the decision had been taken the formalities leading to the fitting of the pacemaker and the aftercare was undertaken in a very efficient, caring and effective manner.

Dr David Fox seems to be so approachable and easy to talk to. He listens to what I have to say and answers my questions in a manor that I can understand. Before I met Dr David Fox I was suffering with AF whereby the attacks or symptoms came with no warning and left me feeling breathless, dizzy and feeling faint. After my oblation procedure was complete I went home that day. I am now doing the things that I used to do without worry, those things being to work as normal working means heavy manual work and cycling up the steepest of climbs on the Costa Blanca.

Dr Fox was excellent in explaining clearly my issue with AF and what the ablation procedure involved. When it came to the actual procedure I felt very safe and it went without a problem. I had a few episodes for a few weeks after the procedure which Dr Fox had explained would likely happen and then within a month my AF was gone or at least no longer noticeable.

The Doctor had an amazing grasp of my problems and ensured that my concerns were addressed.He arranged for immediate tests to reassure me as he was aware i had suffered from anxiety.I cannot thank Dr Fox enough for his care and professionalism .

This is the 3rd time Dr Fox has performed a cardioversion to get my heart back in sinus rhythm. On each occasion he has discussed my options for treatment with me fully exploring the benefits and risks of each to help me make an informed decision that I have felt was right for me. He has fully listened to my rationale and answered all my questions and where appropriate with a great sense if humour and wit. I trust him and his judgement completely. In the best possible way I hope I don't have to seek him getting my heart back in sinus rhythm, but if I do go back into AF in the future I will not hesitate in contacting him to discuss my options; and it would be a pleasure to consult with him again but not to have the AF. A truly knowledgeable and delightful person. God bless him in his profession.

Dr David Fox is a highly experienced cardiologist/electrophysiologist in Manchester and has been a consultant for over 10 years.
He spent a period of his training at one of the worlds premier heart rhythm institutes (University of Western Ontario, Canada) working with pioneering cardiologist Professor George J Klein, the author of over 500 medical publications.
Dr Fox specialises in the treatment of all heart rhythm disorders and carries out over 220 ablation procedures annually and has a particular interest in atrial fibrillation ablation (pulmonary vein isolation). He also is fully trained in all aspects of pacemaker/ICD implantation.
He is the lead for cardiac rhythm services at Wythenshawe Hospital, Manchester and runs the annual audit program to ensure high levels of safety in and quality of the atrial fibrillation ablation program.
